Tim Omark & Southern Justice

I started playing the drums when I was 9 years old. My dad played the drums and he was my biggest influence teaching me the old stuff from Glenn Miller orchestra style music to jazz.

I've been in several bands throughout my musical career. My previous band was together for 5 years. In 1998 we won a ""Star Search"" competition in Columbus, Ohio. The prize was an 8 hour recording session at ""Big Mama Studios"" in Seymore, Tennessee. In 1999 we were the opening band for The Jason Bonham Band in Columbus and were asked to go with them to New York to open for a show there. We did several showcases for Media Play, opened for several artists at Polaris Amphitheater and played on a side stage at the
Ohio State Fair. We also had 2 originals songs chosen for a soundtrack for a movie. In 2002 due to family and other obligations we dissolved the band but still remain very close friends.

In 2004 my wife introduced me to a new co-worker who sang and played guitar. We got together and decided to get something started. Tim Omark and Southern Justice was born and the rest is history. This band is really something
special. The experience and passion we all bring together is reflected into the audience at every show.

My biggest influences besides my dad are John Bonham of Led Zepplin, his son Jason Bonham, Steve Smith of Journey, and Joey Kramer of Areosmtih. What can I say I'm an 80's kinda guy.
